Transfer Site

To transfer a site made in Google Suite (now Google Workspace) to a personal account

  1. In Google Suite Drive, create a Shared Drive

  2. Add the personal account, making sure to give it full permissions.

  3. In G Drive, move the site to the Shared Drive.

  4. Sign in to Google Drive with the personal account.

  5. Open the Shared Drive.

  6. Move the site out of the Shared Drive into the Google Drive folder.

  7. Republish the site. The published URL will change to the correct format.

  8. The site now belongs to the personal account and the G Suite account no longer has ownership of it.
