Using Dropbox for Image and File Storage
Dropbox Features In a dropbox public folder right click on a file, select dropbox, select "copy public link". If I edit this image in the Dropbox folder on my computer, this image is automatically updated. Please note: New Dropbox accounts created after October 4, 2012 no longer have a Public folder. Don't worry! Every account created prior to this date will still have a Public folder. If you would like to enable a Public folder on a new account, see the instructions HERE. Get the public URL of the file (right click on a file, select dropbox, select "copy public link") and insert the following into the html where you want the page to be inserted: <iframe src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14060412/Test001.html"> </iframe> Please note: New Dropbox accounts created after October 4, 2012 no longer have a Public folder. I personally would rather use Google Drive but after reading the instructions and spending quite a long time trying to make it work I gave up and used DropBox. The Google Drive instructions say: Link to the files contained in the folder using the webViewLink (included in the folder’s JSON representation).In my Google Drive public folder I see no reference to these things. Maybe some day I will figure it out. |
